Well it seems as though more should be accomplished by now but my faux Channel muslin is really taking a lot of time to get right.

I had some grey knit fabric I have been wanting to make a turtleneck out of so that's what I did. Usually I don't like the way all turtlenecks sleeves and body are too short for me. I am by no means tall ( 5'3") but still the shirts I had been buying from retail shops were boxy and unflattering. I had a pattern from Burda (young burda 7742) and altered it a bit by chopping off the sleeve cap to get rid of all the gathering ( yep that's what I did I just chopped it off ) and it worked like a charm. I had some twill tape from my scrapbooking stash and decided to use some in the shoulder seam.
For the shoulder seam I used twill tape that I found in my scrapbooking stash
may not be clear elastic but I like the touch of the word there and it works for keeping my shoulders from stretching out of wack.
this is a shot of the pattern itself. I believe I got this to make shirts for my daughter but I like the fit also so I will make a few more... til next time:)
